Thanks for the response, David...it's good to know that one oil serves all functions in the LS650! I assume that those friction-proofing oil additives would definitely be the wrong thing to use, if you still want your clutch to grab!
My Kawasaki has 2 gear-driven counterbalancers to offset the vibrations in the V-Twin. V-twin engines with a single crankpin shared by both rods, as in the Harleys, have that loping exhaust pulse because the firing strokes are not precisely 360 degrees apart, as in an in-line twin, but are shifted by the angle of separation of the cylinders, giving a 315-405 cadence, instead of a 360-360 rhythm. But with V-twins with a SEPERATE crankpin in line with each cylinder, you get the 360-360 cadence.
